Village Council President

Chris Rintz - Spruce Street
Chris has lived with his family in Winnetka for 25 years.  He is CEO and Managing Member of New England Homes LLC, where he has worked for 27 years, specializing in community revitalization and public/private development assignments.  Chris is a committed Winnetka resident with extensive experience in Village affairs having served as Village Trustee for 5 years (from 2008-2012 and 2015-2016) and as a member of the Building Review Committee (6 years), Plan Commission (3 years), Ad Hoc Post Office Committee (3 years) and Ad Hoc Design Guidelines Committee (5 years with 3 as Chair).  Outside of his Winnetka government activities, Chris was Coach of AYSO and Trevian Soccer and a Board member of the Trevian Soccer Club (9 years).   He and his wife, Kathy, have two grown daughters, both of whom attended the Winnetka schools and New Trier.  He is a graduate of Northwestern University with a B.S. in Organization Behavior.

Village Trustees

Andrew B. Cripe - Maple Street
Andrew has lived with his family in Winnetka for 11 years. He is a shareholder and lawyer with the Chicago office of Polsinelli PC and is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He is currently serving his first term as Village Trustee and has previously served on the Winnetka Zoning Board of Appeals (2013-2015), the Winnetka Caucus Council (2009-2011; Chair of the Schools Committee in 2011) and the Winnetka District 36 Strategic Planning Committee (2008). He and his wife, Christina, have 4 children (one in preschool, one at Greeley, one at Skokie School and one at New Trier High School).  He holds a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Scott Myers - Church Road
Scott has lived with his family in Winnetka for 27 years. Currently retired, he was the Executive Director of World Sport Chicago for 8 years, and was Managing Director of Accenture where he worked for 29 years. He is finishing his first term as Village Trustee and has previously served on the Winnetka Zoning Board of Appeals for 7 years and Plan Commission for 2 years.  Scott is on the Board of Trustees of Lawrence University (Chairman of the Finance Committee) and is also on the Board of Youth Guidance (past Chairman of the Board and current member of the Executive Committee).  Previously he has served on the Boards of the New Trier Booster Club and the New Trier Rowing Club (head of finance). He and his wife, Luvie, have 3 grown children who attended Winnetka’s schools.  He holds a B.A. degree from Lawrence University.

Bob Dearborn – Arbor Vitae Road
Bob has lived with his family in Winnetka for 21 years.  He is Co-President and Managing Director of Lodestar Investment Counsel LLC where he has worked for 25 years.  Bob is currently on the Winnetka Design Review Board and has been a member for 6 years. He served 3 years on the Caucus Council, including as President and Treasurer.  He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the CFA Institute, an investment professional organization, and was a member and past-President of the Rotary Club of Chicago-Financial District.  He and his wife, Jane, have 3 grown children who attended the Winnetka Public Schools. Bob is a graduate of New Trier East and holds a B.A from Kenyon College and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.


District 36 School Board

Nat Roberts -Walden Road
Nat has been a resident of Winnetka for four years with his wife and three children. He has a daughter at Hubbard woods, and two sons, one at North Shore Country Day and one at Washburne. Nat is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and has taken various non degree courses (Accounting, History, Agriculture) at Harvard and University of Florida.  Nat is currently a stay at home dad and is still serving as President, Managed Citrus Inc., a partnership that sold its main assets 3 years ago.  Nat volunteers frequently with the Winnetka D36 PTO, is a boy scout troop leader of 100 boys grades 6-12 and served on the New Trier Board Caucus.  He was the Chair of The Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Chair & President of Indian River Citrus Growers Association, Board Member of Florida Fruit & Vegetable and a Board Member of Florida Citrus.

Steve Cirulis - Pine Street  
Steve has lived in Winnetka for five years.  Most recently, he served as the Global Vice President of Corporate Strategy for McDonald's Corp., where he was responsible for driving growth and performance improvement across the system.   Previous to that, he worked at Gap Inc. in San Francisco as Senior Director of Strategy and Business Development for the company's namesake brand.  He was also an Associate Partner at Prophet,a global brand and marketing consultancy.  Steve holds an MBA in finance and marketing from Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in economics and political science from Northwestern University.  Steve is a founding member of The Nora Project, an organization which aims to build awareness, understanding, empathy and relationships with children with physical and emotional disabilities and their classmates.  Steve is married to Suzy.  They have three children at Crow Island School. 

Scott Conine - Orchard Lane
Scott has lived in Winnetka for five years.  Scott Conine is the Chief Operating Officer at Rise Interactive, a digital marketing agency specializing in digital media, analytics, and customer experience.  He has been with the company since 2006 and he currently directs all operating departments including accounting, legal, employee services, IT, and administration. Conine uses his 14 years of experience in marketing and management to streamline business processes and leverage technology to achieve both revenue and profit target. He lives in Winnetka with his wife Ranell and two daughters who attend Greeley and North Shore Country Day.  He has served at imentor, a non-profit that helps disadvantaged youth.  He is a graduate of Baylor University.


Board of Commissioners of the Winnetka Park District

Teresa Claybrook - Oak Street
Teresa and her husband, along with their three school-aged children, have lived in Winnetka for 12 years.  Teresa works in Global Account Management for Ernst & Young. Teresa has served on the Board of Commissioners for the Park District for the past four years, and hopes to continue her contribution by serving a second term.  Teresa attended Colorado College, where she received a BA in Economics and Biology.

Warren James - Cherry Street
Warren has lived in Winnetka most of his life.  He and his wife, have raised three children here.  Warren is Principal of Reva Development Partners, and has extensive experience in real estate development.  Warren is active in Boy Scouts leadership, and recently served as Co-chair of the Winnetka Lakefront Master Plan Advisory Committee.  Warren graduated from New Trier High School, and received his BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Eric Lussen - Ash Street
Eric and his wife, along with their four young children, have lived in Winnetka for 2 years.  Eric is a Vice President, Retirement Director with Fidelity investments, where he has been employed for 18 years.  Eric has been active in coaching with AYSO and Hockey Minor Mites.  Eric graduated from Loyola Academy, and received his BA in Accounting from Boston College, a Masters in Investment Management from Boston University’s School of Business, and a MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.


Winnetka-Northfield Library Board

Raheela Gill Anwar.  Tower Road, Winnetka. Raheela has lived in Winnetka for 19 years, raising all of her children here. This will be Ms. Anwar’s second term on the Library Board; she is currently serving a term from 2013-2017. During her time on the Library Board, she has served two years as Secretary and is currently the Vice President. Ms. Anwar is the Chief Strategy Officer for Challenger Gray and Christmas where she has worked for four years. She has been employed in the financial services industry since 1989 and was certified by the Association of Financial Professionals in 1992. Ms. Anwar has been Board President of Family Services of Winnetka-Northfield, Board President of the Winnetka Community House, a member of the Fortnightly Club and a member of several other non-profit boards. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School.

Kathleen Reichert - Westmoor Road
Kathleen has lived in Winnetka for 20 years.  She served on the Winnetka Caucus Council for three years (2012-2014) where she chaired the Village Council Platform Committee as well as served on the Village Candidates and Platform Committees.  Additionally, Ms. Reichert has been the Communications Chairperson for The Winnetka Club, as well as serving on several other non-profit boards.   Currently, she is a Principal in Reitan Investment Group, LLC. She previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Mayer Brown, LLP, and VP of Global Marketing at A.T. Kearney.  Ms. Reichert has a BA and an MBA from the University of Utah, and an Executive MBA from Stanford University.  She is a frequent user of Winnetka-Northfield Library services and attends many library programs.

Jean-Paul “JP” Ruiz-Funes - Locust Street
JP has been a Winnetka resident for 21 years, raising four children here, one of them currently in high school.  Mr. Ruiz-Funes was a board member at the Chicago Children’s Museum from 1997-2004 and currently serves as a mentor for Chicago Innovation Mentors at Matter.  Since 2013, he has been SVP of Business Development at Outpace Systems, Inc., a software development company.  He spent about half of his career in management consulting as a Partner in the Chicago office of McKinsey & Company and as a Managing Director at Blue Ridge Partners.  He also held senior strategy and business development positions at Quaker Oats, Baxter and Land O’ Lakes.  He holds a BE/ME from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Metiers in Paris, France and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  The Library has been an important part of the Ruiz-Funes family life for reading, attending programs and utilizing the quiet space for working and thinking.

Suzie Shoup - Thornwood Lane
Suzie has lived in Northfield for 18 years and raised all three of her children there. Ms. Shoup has been involved in the community most of those years as an Executive Board member of the New Trier Fine Arts Association, Webmaster for the Loyola Academy Rowing Association and a member of the Sunset Ridge PTO.   Currently, she works with the Heartland Alliance helping to settle families from Africa in Chicago.  In her professional life, she has worked in human resources at the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and Progressive Corporation.  She is a graduate of John Carroll University.  An appreciative Library user, Ms. Shoup believes libraries are an important community asset.
